Book Review - Size 14 is Not Fat Either
I do have a problem with the title, though. The first Heather Wells book (which I didn't read) was Size 12 is Not Fat. I did not read this book based entirely on the title, because I disagree. As a size 12 (in some stores), I can verify that size 12 is, in fact, fat. And size 14 is even fatter. If I ever wear a size 14 again, I will be really, really depressed about it.
But, the book was cute, even if it did feature lots of cutesy, cheesy cliches about how It's Okay to Not Be Skinny and Big Girls are People, Too! Which, I agree with both of those things, except for how for me, it is not okay to not be skinny, but whatever. I am glad there are other fat people in the world to keep me company. The book wasn't terrible, and I'll probably read the one coming out next year, which has an even more deplorable title (Big Boned, can you stand it?).
I give Size 14 is Not Fat Either one out of three Starbucks logos for having a dumb title and stupid cliches throughout, but still kind of charming me a little.

Outside of Los Angeles, a size 12 is NOT fat if the wearer is 5' 10". It is only fat if the wearer is like 5' 2".
I never read either of those books. Do I need to? I usually like to read books about the tribulations of not-really-fat people and then turn them backwards on my bookshelf. However, I hate mysteries.
